Olivia "Livi" McConaghy, of Manahawkin, died peacefully on Friday, Oct. 4, according to her obituary on the Thos. L. Shinn Funeral Home website.

A GoFundMe launched by Tracey Slattery in June for Livi's family around the time of her diagnosis had raised $69,000 as of press time. The campaign says Livi is a former gymnast and volleyball enthusiast who loves to surf and swim at the beach.

Her battle began last March, when she began experiencing dizziness and weakness in her arm, the campaign reads. Livi was taken to the hospital where doctors ultimately found a mass in her spinal cord at the base of her brain stem.

Livi's mother, Stephanie Jandoli, announced her death in an update on the campaign, saying her daughter died in her arms.

"She suffers no more and the recent beautiful magic skies tell me that she is at peace and safe dancing with the angels," the update reads.

A Southern Regional High School sophomore, Olivia is survived by her mother Stephanie Jandoli, her father, Brian McConaghy, grandparents Anthony and JoAnn Jandoli, her aunt and uncle, Jennifer and Frank Catalano, as well as her cousins, Francesca, and Santino and her dogs Oliver and Cooper, her obituary said.

Services were Wednesday, Oct. 16 and Thursday, Oct. 17.
